This spring I read The Leader in Me and was SO beyond inspired to bring the ideas and principles into my classroom. My school has decided to start small and the lower grades are incorporating teaching the 7 Habits for Happy Kids and weaving them into our daily lives. We are working together to create a map for teaching them and also deciding how to incorporate them into our daily behavior management. I promise to share when we are done!
For now, I have finished the posters to hang up in my room. I have included six different styles to choose from. The first three sets vary in color and have each of the seven habits and a clipart kid. The second three sets vary in color and have each of the seven habits with a paragraph for more explanation. I am hanging up the set with the clipart for reinforcement throughout the school year. I am using the set with the paragraphs to help me introduce each habit.
