We have officially begun planting in our courtyard garden! The plan is to plant some plants now that can be harvested before school is out. We plan to do a second round of planting near the end of the year. We are sharing the garden with Kindergarten through Fifth Grade! Some of the plants that are being planted include:
Lettuce
Cabbage
Spinah
Radish
Onion
Garlic
Asparagus
Rhubarb
Raspberries
We planted the spinach plants. We are so excited to watch it grow!
I did not know Bannockburn school had a courtyard garden until the evening of Art Night! I even got a tiny-teeny peek of Jemima Puddle Duck!
