AH! I am so excited. I am leaving this evening for New York City! I am going with my principal and some teachers from school. We are attending Lucy Calkin’s Reading and Writing Project June Writing Institute at Columbia University. I am so thrilled to be learning more about writing with the best of the best. I am confident that I am going to learn amazing things.
The best part? My husband David is meeting me out there mid-week! He is arriving on Wednesday but going to “hang out” with his friend until we are done on Friday. Then, we are going to spend Friday through Monday together exploring. It is our anniversary on the 26th and it is the perfect way to celebrate.
Can’t wait to share what I learn!
NYC is such a fun place to be! I would love to hear more about the Calkin's Institute as I am trying to better implement the writing components in my classroom. Have fun!
