Description
Introducing students to the use of iPads in the classroom can be challenging. It is important to deliberately teach the basic skills so that students can use the iPad to its full potential. The perfect place to start with this are the native apps – apps that are already installed for you! Use this simple step guide to teach your students how to use the apps!
The guide addresses the camera, photo, notes, and clock apps.
There are a variety of ways you can use this guide to teach your students:
-For younger students, teach a mini lesson (one page) a day.
-For older students, print the mini lessons and have them work through them independently.
-Pick and choose which mini lessons to teach when appropriate.
After finishing the mini lessons for each app, there is a “show what you know” page. This is meant for your students to independently practice their new skills!
If teaching the lessons whole group, the lessons are meant to be projected. This means either displaying the PDF through your computer to a SMART board or what technology you have to project.
You can also print the pdf and display the mini lessons via a document camera.
Another option is to just use the pdf as a guide for yourself while you are teaching your students!
